Major clean up of highly contaminated soil that was used as backfill for private homes in Camden, NJ.

The radioactive soil was found in the basement of many attached and single-family homes residential area. This required us going into the homes and creating (and later repair) large openings leading to and from the basement to dig out the tainted material. To do this successfully, we needed to remove and support structural bearing walls and basement floors for quick and efficient removal of the soil.

We designed a mobile remediation trucking system, which ensured all the necessary professional remedial and scientific resources were available at the work sites. Our system included a lab, allowing us to complete testing and remediation to reduce the overall impact to the residence. This method gave us the ability to complete the clean up and limit the intrusion to the homeowner. Our system proved to be twice as fast than was expected by the Army Corp.
