Bridgeview at Babylon Cove

Bridgeview at Babylon Cove

Project overview

The project consisted of the redevelopment of a contaminated waterfront area. A marina was causing considerable blight in an area that was adjacent to the Village of Babylon parks and restaurants. The Village has great appeal with the community and attracted many visitors who were exposed to this blight. The owner of the property had no strategy for redevelopment nor the ability to sell the property in its current condition.

What made this job complex

The viability of a high end project that would not negatively effect the character of the adjacent neighborhood was seriously questioned with the negative history of the blighted polluted marina.

How Posillico solved it

Posillico Development initiated discussions with the Village of Babylon officials to seek a building style that was consistent with its Victorian heritage, addressing a combination of natural and synthetic building elements that created a unique product each with its own boat slip. The community is walkable to near by restaurants and the main street of Babylon Village which made it a desirable location and showcase property.
