The project is the reconstruction of an existing wastewater treatment plant and the addition of a new 300,000 gallon per day Sequential Batch Reactor (SBQ)in Kings Park, New York. The contract onsists of site work, building work, steel sheeting, tanks, electrical assistance, sewer piping and drainage work. It will also require concrete construction and rehabilitation of existing tanks.

Posillico is performing all of the work in and around this 70 year old active sewer plant that must maintain daily operations at all times.

Posillico recommended several changes to the owner that has allowed us to complete the project on schedule. Changes included relocation and replacement of an existing 30 inch clay influent main to facilitate installation of new piping and value chambers. SCDPW and Posillico worked together to bypass 1/4 mile of the main and worked long days to minimize disruption to the plant.
